Training Farm Update

Weeks of work on Saturday mornings is paying off as the Plant It Forward training farm takes shape. The farm is on target to meet its September 15 completion date just in time for a Fall planting. As of this newsletter, twenty of the thirty-two beds are complete. Thanks to the many volunteers who have come out to help. Visit Plant if Forward Facebook page for more pictures.

Upcoming Events on the Farm
Volunteer Days Continue Into August

You are invited to work alongside our farmers to help us complete the training farm. Be in on the beginning of this innovative project. Please wear hats and closed toe shoes. If you have farm tools such as a wheel barrow, shovel, rake and/or gloves, please bring them. No experience necessary.

Location: Corner of Willowbend and Fondren, Houston, TX 77096.

Date: Saturday, August 18.

Time: 7 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.

Twelve Farmers Join First Class

Twelve farmers from the Congo are enrolled in the first Plant It Forward training class. All have many years of farming experience. This picture was taken at our first get-to-know-each-other class in May. We all created and shared our dream boards.
