The Westbury Area Improvement Corporation (WAIC) wants to raise at least $50,000 by December 31 in order to buy the leased 7-acre Westbury Community Garden site. If we don’t buy the land, then it will be paved over by the owner for an apartment complex.

The goal is to rescue this award-winning garden to keep it public and green. We ask for your help. We need money AND we need to spread the word about our effort. Total cost of the land is more than $500,000. Please donate today. Donations are tax-deductible. https://donatenow.networkforgood.org/SaveWestburyCommunityGarden

The WAIC has been a partner in the Westbury Community Garden project from its earliest days.  The garden project won a national First Place Award from Keep America Beautiful in 2010. The land and the project are worth saving and your help is needed. The Network for Good website is used for online donations. It is safe and very easy to use.  Donors will get a receipt immediately.
