2016-2017 Arts Project Grant Outreach

The Arts Project Grant (APG) category supports 501(c)3 nonprofit arts and cultural organizations in producing and presenting projects that: (1) are open to the general public; and (2) contribute to making Houston a more attractive cultural destination for visitors and tourists. Types of eligible projects may include a one-time or series of public performances/exhibitions; creation of new works; artists’ residencies; lecture/demonstrations or workshops; and services to the field. Awards are not intended to provide general operating or year-round support.

The Arts Project Grant Outreach (APGO) category supports both 501(c)3 nonprofit arts/cultural organizations and individual artists in producing and presenting projects—within specified districts of the City of Houston—that: (1) are open to the general public; and 2) contribute to making Houston a more attractive cultural destination for visitors and tourists. Organizations and individual artists are limited to awards of no more than $10,000.
