The District K office is hosting a Neighborhood 101 workshop on Saturday, February 11 from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. that will address the City of Houston’s Prohibited Yard Parking Ordinance Program (see attachment). The workshop will occur at the South Gessner HPD Substation (Community Room), 8605 Westplace Dr. @ South Gessner Rd.

This Prohibited Yard Parking ordinance provides residential neighborhoods with a protected ordinance to discourage parking on front yards. In addition, Parking Management will highlight their role with parking enforcement as well as the Houston Police Dept. DRT officers.CM Green strongly encourages District K neighborhoods that are covered by this ordinance to attend and learn how your neighborhood can be protected with this development tool. If your neighborhood currently has this PYP protection, you are still welcome to attend. Park Management will be present to discuss other initiatives to limit parking situations in our residential communities along with discussion from HPD.

Like previous 101 workshops, seating is limited, so RSVP is required. We are anticipating a large audience. First come, first serve!! There is a lot of available seating, so join us for this informative workshop. Spread the word among civic group.

Thanks in advance and I look forward to your RSVP e-mail.
