BOMD: Public Service Announcement

In consideration of updated government orders aimed at stopping the spread of COVID-19, staffing of Brays Oaks District offices is limited at least through March 31, 2021 while staff works remotely on a full-time basis. Staff may be contacted as follows:

  • Ben Brewer, Executive Director (210) 889-5815 or BBrewer@BraysOaksmd.org
  • Alice Lee, Deputy Executive Director (713) 501-8719 or ALee@BraysOaksmd.org

Our graffiti and litter abatement, bandit sign removal, and landscape maintenance are continuing with the following added protocols:

  • Staggered arrival times for crews to minimize human-to-human interaction and encourage social distancing, beginning at 6AM. Crews will return to warehouse in the same order they arrived.
  • Zero human-to-human contact in the field. If contact needs to be made with a property owner, the crew member will call supervisor to reach owner by phone or e-mail.
  • Monitoring the health of all employees. Crew members will report any and all illness symptoms to supervisor and will be asked to quarantine in the event of illness.
  • Use of available PPE, including gloves, masks, goggles, and suits.
  • Routine sanitation of equipment, vehicles, and warehouse space (including locks, door handles, and common areas).
  • Crew members will report any and all incidents of contact to supervisor.

Our Public Safety efforts supporting the HPD Overtime Program that BOMD has funded and will continue to do so through the end of the year. We remain committed to assisting our law enforcement to protect and serve our businesses and keep the community safe. You can contact the HPD Overtime Hotline that is headquartered at the South Gessner HPD Division at (832) 394-2660. Remember to always call 9-1-1 in case of an emergency.

We will continue to monitor the situation and will reach out to update the community as new information and resources become available.
