District K Capital Improvement Plan Community Meeting
Wednesday, March 20, 6:30PM– 8PM
The Fountain Life Center, 14083 S. Main (at Hillcroft)

Mayor Sylvester Turner invites the community to participate in the annual spring meetings in each council district to discuss capital improvement projects and hurricane recovery programs. The mayor will also explain a reframed approach to improving neighborhood drainage and streets. The City of Houston’s Capital Improvement Plan (CIP) is a 5-year plan that list projects the City of Houston intends to construct. City representatives from the Public Works Dept., General Services Dept., and Parks & Recreation Dept. will attend the CIP meeting. An update will be given of the ReBuild Houston initiatives within District K. Information and experts will be available at tables before and after the community meetings to answer questions and provide resources.

These CIP meetings provide citizens the opportunity to participate in the budget process by contributing comments and suggestions about CIP-related needed services and improvements. In the past, Brays Oaks residents have been very successful at lobbying the City at these meetings for much-needed improvements to our streets, drainage, and parks.

Brays Oaks and District K residents are encouraged to attend this public meeting.
