District K Pet Food Pantry

If you have a pet and are in need of food, meet us at the Hiram Clark Multi Service Center today at 10am. We want to help our families and their pets remain together and out of shelters. The pet food will be given on a first come first served basis while supplies last. Let’s make sure our pets are taken care of too.

We’re Spreading Holiday Cheer with Turkeys for Our Seniors and a District-wide Shared Holiday Meal

Thanks to our generous sponsors we will continue the tradition of our holiday Turkey “Gift-Away” for our seniors in District K. We know this year has been challenging and we want to find joy in everything we can. This year I’m grateful that our sponsors want to continue to help us bless our seniors in the community. Call or email us to get on the list. If you know a senior, remind them to call before December 16th! 832-393-3016 or [email protected].

On that same day we are inviting all of our residents that would like to share in a holiday meal to meet us at the Fountain Life Center for a drive thru pick up of roasted chicken, mashed potatoes and green beans. Each meal will be pre-packaged individually and you can pick up a delicious meal for each of your family members.

While we have been apart for most of the year, this event is planned to bring us together safely for a brief fellowship during this holiday season. It’s times like these when we are especially blessed to have sponsors and a community of caring residents. Now and in the months ahead, we will need every bit of supportive nature and resolve. Let’s keep taking social distancing seriously, washing our hands, wearing our mask when in close proximity of others and practicing self care. We all know someone who may be dealing with far more than usual, even though they may not admit it. Let’s commit to staying in touch with each other, especially those that may need a little extra support this holiday season.

I really hope to see each of you on Friday, December 18th from 11am to 1pm. Stay safe and encouraged! See flyers for more info.
