Honoring the Spirit of Labor Day |
|
| Dear District K Friends, As we celebrate Labor Day, I want to take a moment to honor the hardworking men and women whose dedication and perseverance keep our city and our nation moving forward. Labor Day is more than a long weekend. It is a time to reflect on the contributions of working families, small business owners, teachers, health care workers, first responders, city employees, and so many others who give their time and talent each day to strengthen our communities. Here in District K, I see that spirit of commitment everywhere from neighbors volunteering at community events to the small businesses that fuel our local economy. Your work matters, and it makes a difference. On this Labor Day, let us celebrate the dignity of work, the progress we have made, and the promise of an even brighter future when we continue to support one another. Wishing you and your family a safe and restful holiday! In service, Martha |
