Houston Community College is proud to offer
HCC Mattress Mack School of Selling training through the
Glenda and David Regenbaum Center for Entrepreneurship – HCC Northwest.

Houston Community College offers six three-hour onsite training sessions based on the Mattress Mack philosophy of sales practices in collaboration with Jim McIngvale. Chosen applicants must attend all six required sessions to graduate from the cohort.

Onsite Session Topics & Fall 2025 Schedule:

Tuesdays: 5:00pm to 8:00pm

  1. Sept 09 – The Art of Listening
  2. Sept 16 – Persistence
  3. Sept 23 – The Ability to Say No
  4. Sept 30 – Caring Customer Service
  5. Oct 07 – Building a Book of Business
  6. Oct 14 – What You Learn After You Know It All

This onsite cohort (at the HCC Alief Hayes Campus) is designed for aspiring and existing entrepreneurs, and/or individuals wanting to start a career in sales or change jobs to pursue a new position as a sales person. This could be college students and adults of all ages from the greater Houston Community. Some graduates could also be offered sales positions at Gallery Furniture and possibly other employers.

Applicants who are selected for this program and graduate from it, will earn a Certificate of Completion from the HCC Mattress Mack School of Selling© to add to your achievements.

Application Deadline is 2:00pm CST, September 3, 2025.

Classroom size is limited, so a select number of applicants will be chosen from the applicant pool. We suggest thoughtful consideration in filling out your application and dedicated commitment to attending the full six session schedule to graduate from the class and this cohort.
