As you celebrate, please keep safety top of mind and take note of a few important reminders. 🎇 Fireworks Safety in HoustonFireworks are not allowed within Houston city limits. This includes firecrackers, rockets, Roman candles, and aerial fireworks. Only small novelty items, such as sparklers and party poppers, are permitted. Illegal fireworks can pose serious risks to families, pets, and first responders. - Call 311 for non-emergency concerns
- Call 911 if there is an immediate danger
Let’s celebrate responsibly and look out for one another. 🗑️ Solid Waste Services Holiday ScheduleIn observance of New Year’s Day (Wednesday, January 1): - No curbside garbage, recycling, yard waste, or bulky waste collection
- All Solid Waste drop-off and recycling facilities will be closed
Collection services will resume on the next regularly scheduled service day, and residents should place their carts out on their normal collection day following the holiday. As we turn the page to a new year, let’s continue building safe, connected, and caring neighborhoods.
