Special Guest MICHAEL WEBSTER, PH.D. President, Houston City College Southwest Dr. Michael Webster is dedicated to expanding access to workforce education and career pathways. With over 15 years of experience in workforce development, he most recently served as the Associate Vice Chancellor for Workforce Instruction at HCC, where he led efforts to strengthen industry partnerships and workforce training programs. Dr. Webster is a Senior Fellow from Education Class Four of the American Leadership Forum and an alum of the Center for Houston’s Future Leadership Academy. Prior to HCC, he held leadership positions at the Greater Houston Partnership, Houston Independent School District, and the Gulf Coast Workforce Board. Dr. Webster serves on multiple boards, including the Gulf Coast Workforce Board and the Greater Houston Partnership’s UpSkill Houston Executive Committee. He was recently appointed to the Industry-Based Certification Advisory Board by Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick. He holds a Ph.D. in English and American Literature from the University of Houston. |
