The South Gessner Division would like to invite you to their upcoming Divisional Positive Interaction Program (PIP) meeting on Wednesday, July 15, 2026, at 06:30 PM.
This month’s presentation will feature Detectives from the Houston Police Department Major Offenders Division, who will be discussing animal cruelty investigations, recognizing the signs of animal abuse and neglect, the laws surrounding animal cruelty offenses, and how apartment communities can help identify and report these crimes. This presentation will provide valuable information for apartment managers, community partners, and residents on the importance of reporting suspected animal cruelty and the resources available to protect both animals and the community.
The meeting will be held at the South Gessner Police Station, located at 8605 Westplace Drive, Houston, Texas.
We encourage all apartment representatives, community members, and partners to attend. These meetings are an important opportunity to strengthen communication, address concerns within the community, and continue building positive relationships between the Houston Police Department and the citizens we serve. This will also be a time for attendees to ask questions and engage directly with HPD personnel.
