The District identifies businesses for which there are opportunities and works with investors, developers, and brokers to facilitate new development, new business, and current business improvement to meet those needs. Business Improvement Grants

The District has established and funded the Business Improvement Grant to support the revitalization of commercial property within the District. Grants are available on a 50/50 basis with a $10,000 cap per grant. Applications are reviewed by the committee before presentation to the Board.

Economic Development Strategic Plan

With input from business leaders and community members, this plan identifies opportunities to increase retail trade, commerce, development, and interest in the district in immediate, mid-term, and long-term time frames. It also looks at the district’s demographics, strengths, and weaknesses.

Education & Workforce

Recognizing the critical importance of an educated and skilled workforce, the District works with community partners to address the community’s educational needs, advocating for high-quality vocational training and a path to higher education.
