Judge Wanda E. Adams
Harris County Justice of the Peace
Precinct 7, Place 1

Wanda Adams was first elected as Harris County Justice of the Peace Precinct 7, Place 1, in 2020 after serving 7 years on the Houston Independent School District Board of Education and the limit of three two-year terms as a member of the Houston City Council for District D.

As a public servant, Judge Adams has been committed to support for the homeless, veterans, the disabled, and mentally ill, and is a strong advocate for breast cancer awareness and women affected by domestic violence. During her role as Justice of the Peace, Judge Adams continues to help our less fortunate citizens by providing resources preventing citizens from becoming homeless. She has created her Beyond the Bench initiatives that help homeowners and tenants gain information on retaining their homes, by avoiding evictions, hosting job fairs and referring tenants weekly to HCC for education opportunities and job leads.

Kathryn Noser,
President

​Kathryn Noser is a lifelong patron of The Company OnStage, having attended her first show at the age of four at The Company OnStage’s original home at St. John’s Presbyterian Church. She joined the Board of Directors in 2008, established the Actors in Wonderland Summer Drama Program in 2010, and has served as President of the Board since 2014. The Company OnStage serves the community by offering professional quality performances of contemporary and classic theatre for children and adults in an intimate setting at affordable prices. COS provides the opportunity for everyone in the community to participate in theatre by attending performances, taking classes, or volunteering for all phases of production.

We’ve Simplified the Application for Home Repair Assistance

The City of Houston Housing and Community Development Department (HCD) has simplified the application for the Single-Family Home Repair Program, making it shorter, faster, and easier for homeowners impacted by Winter Storm Uri to apply for recovery assistance.

Eligible Homeowners Could Receive:

  • Up to $10,000 reimbursement for out-of-pocket storm repairs
  • Up to $100,000 for home repairs (rehabilitation)
  • Up to $300,000 for full reconstruction
